Plastics Inspection
Overview
A new completely automated system for the colorimetrical analysis of plastics able to draw, work out and visualize the results in real time.
A standard lighting source irradiates plastic; the light is canalised by collimation optics,
then it is conveyed in fibre again.
This radiation is then analysed by the spectrometer optics:
a group of linear photodetectors permits to record the intensity of single wavelength.
Finally the chamber electronics sends the recording of numerical data by a connection file.
XProbe is realized by DV to analyse plastic, it permits to acquire the spectral and colorimetrical
characteristics of the transmittance sample. This acquisition allows to classify the different
kinds of plastic colours, visualizing the results during the production provess, so it makes data
available for the following elaboration.
Microcolor for Plastic Inspection
Dedicated software calculates colorimetrical data and statistics, manages automatically every mechanical,
electronic and optical part of the whole device for the colour analysis, and allows data archiving.
