Specim AISA
Overview
AISA hyperspectral systems are complete, pushbroom imaging systems, consisting of a hyperspectral sensor
head, a miniature GPS/INS sensor, and a data acquisition unit in a rugged PC. These systems are designed
to be user and fi eld friendly. They are quick to install and remove from any aircraft and they provide timely,
accurate and reliable information. The systems include an in-fl ight confi guration setting, which allows alterations
to be made easily for each exercise.
All AISA sensor systems employ SPECIMís high quality transmissive imaging spectrographs that feature subpixel
smile and keystone distortions, and very low polarization dependency. A real-time fibre optic downwelling
irradiance sensor (FODIS) is integrated in the sensor heads.
The system also includes an in-flight configuration setting, which allows alterations to be made easily
for each exercise, and AISA's post processing, radiometric calibration and georectification software CaliGeo.
CaliGeo now exists as an ENVI plug-in running under ENVI user interface and providing a seamless path from
calibrated image to application processing.

AISA+
Offers the best mix of economy and performance for hyperspectral imaging in visible and near infrared (VNIR) portions of the spectrum. It is the lowest cost hyperspectral tool for research and commercial services.
AISA Eagle
Offers real hyperspectral imaging capabilities in the VNIR with 1000 swath pixels. It provides the highest productivity for commercial applications in vegetation, forestry, water and environmental monitoring, and target detection.
AISA Hawk
AISA Hawk is the smallest and lowest cost SWIR hyperspectral system on the market, and can be quickly installed into any aircraft with relative ease. The systems ability to capture short wave infrared wavelengths (1000-2400 nm) makes it an ideal tool for applications, which will benefit from data acquisition on spectral signatures characteristic to chemical compounds that can not be distinguished in the VNIR range.
AISA Dual
AISA Dual is a high performance hyperspectral sensor system for simultaneous acquisition of VNIR and SWIR data. AISA Dual combines the AISA Eagle and Hawk sensor in a dual sensor bracket mount.
Applications
AISA systems have been used in a variety of commercial, scientific and public service applications, in both the air and on the ground which include the following areas:
- Agriculture
- Emergency Services
- Environmental
- Field Scanner
- Forensics and Military
- Forestry
- Water Assessment
